In October 2007, the city metro will be extended to the airport, which means it will take only 14 minutes to reach the airport with connections every 6 minutes during the day.

The city is connected by motorway to continental Europe and to southern Sweden and the rest of Scandinavia via the Øresund Bridge, a 16 kilometre long combined tunnel and bridge between Copenhagen on the Danish side and Malmö on the Swedish side.
